Administrative Assistant I

The University of Mary is seeking candidates for a part time, grant-funded Administrative Assistant I. This position is primarily responsible for providing support to the director of Native American Educational Leadership Program (NAELP) grant.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities Include:

  • Works directly with the NAELP Director to ensure coordination of NAELP
  • Data Entry associated with NAELP
  • NAELP student outreach and support
  • Coordinate activities required by NAELP grant
  • Help with events as needed or assigned

Desired Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience include:

  • High School Education required
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with relevant experience preferred
  • Fluency in in Microsoft Office Suite, solid understanding of digital and social media realm
  • Upholds and supports the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary
  • Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities
  • Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality in the office of Academic Affairs and throughout the university in accord with Saint Benedict’s admonition that all be received as Christ

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team or independently
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in technology, digital and social media, and data entry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of and involvement in the University of Mary community, its disciplines and relationships, and willingness to develop an in depth understanding
  • Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy
  • High critical thinking skills
